Massage
There are a few certainties in life; amongst them, tax and achy legs at the end of a hard day's skiing.  To help you get the most from your skiing holiday and avoid those aches and pains that shorten your day and restrict your skiing why not book a massage.  We provide treatments in the comfort of your own holiday residence and will tailor the massage to suit your needs. Choose from a relaxing treatment to help you de-stress after a busy day on the slopes to a deeper sports massage, focusing on releasing tension and restoring tissues to optimal function for the next days skiing.
All Massage treatments are carried out by our team of Senior Physiotherapists, so if you have a little niggle that you would like us to assess – just ask!

Physiotherapy

Each Physiotherapist in the team has experience in the assessment and treatment of acute sports injuries.  Our main aim is to get you back on the slopes as soon as possible by selecting appropriate treatment techniques based on your individual needs.  We will also educate you on your injury in order to try to avoid future occurrence and give advice on future management.  We work in partnership with Dr Alan Griffiths and his team in the English Medical Centre in Val d’Isere, so if after assessment we feel you injury requires further investigation we have direct access to the medical help you need and the clinics specialist equipment.
Our Physiotherapists also have experience in treating and managing longer-term chronic conditions.  So if you are currently receiving treatment back home and would like to continue having treatment whilst on holiday or have an ongoing problem that you would like to have assessed, then we are happy to help with this.

Biomechanical Assessment
Do you find that there are certain things that your instructor asks you to do when skiing that your brain understands but your body cannot follow or do you feel that you are an intermediate to advanced level skier who has been skiing for many years and seem to have ‘hit the wall’ when it comes to progressing your technique!  If so, you may benefit from a biomechanical assessment.

Through liaison with the Progression instructors we have developed a biomechanical assessment that is truly ski specific and is based on what the people teaching say are the common problems.  We will come to your chalet and carry out the assessment to see if there is any abnormality that can be adjusted, we will then provide you with an exercise programme to follow; this can have a marked affect on you technique and ability to ski longer.  If you are skiing with Progression we will be happy to liase with your instructor in respect to the above.

Ski Specific Exercises Classes (including Core Stability and Pilates exercises)

This class has been developed from common weaknesses identified during biomechanical assessments and is specific to the muscles and joints used the most during your skiing.  All exercises can be continued on your return from France and can be used to help you prepare for your next holiday, so when it comes around you will be fighting fit and ready to hit the slopes.

Classes are for a maximum of three people, last approximately 1hr and will be carried out in your chalet.
