L’Espace Killy offers you some of the best off-piste that any resort can offer from easy introductory pitches to touring and freeride. Our fully qualified team, with years of experience and great knowledge of the terrain, will make your lesson a great experience.

We have a full range of lesson types for all levels so there are options for everyone. Our private off piste lessons are tailored to suit you whilst for those looking for a more sociable environment we have “Intro to Off Piste Clinics” and general “Off Piste Clinics“. If you are a bit more adventurous you could try heli-skiing or boarding. For those looking to go more back country we have “Touring Private Lessons” and some “Ski Touring Weeks“. We will also provide you with the very best equipment free of charge. ABS Airbags, Ortovox transceiver, aluminium shovel and probe are included. No other school provides this service and last year Progression were given a 10 out of 10 from the Daily Telegraph for its off piste instruction.

INTRODUCTION TO OFF PISTE CLINIC

Our “Introduction to Off-Piste” clinics are a great way to learn the basics of off piste safety, etiquette and technique. With a maximum of six bookings per level we offer small goups thus guaranteeing great progress. All avalanche safety equipment is provided free of charge. This includes Ortovox transceivers, rucksack, shovel and probe and once you are up and running ABS Airbags. No other ski school provides this.

Off Piste Clinic

Our Off-Piste clinics are for those who have skied some off piste before and are comfortable doing so. Off piste safety, etiquette and techniques are covered but the main emphasis is on the skiing and finding great snow. With a maximum of six bookings per level we offer small goups thus guaranteeing great progress. The lessons are four hours per day as this will allow us the opportunity to go further afield to the far ends of the resort. All avalanche safety equipment is provided free of charge. This includes ABS Airbagms, Ortovox transceivers, shovel and probe. No other ski school provides this.

HELI SKIING / BOARDING

A days off piste followed by a helicopter trip back from a quiet corner of the mountain has to be one of the best days ever for any snowsports enthusiast. There are various option in the Val d’Isere area to encompass a morning or a full day.

The price is per helicopter with 1-4 clients plus a guide. We charge the same rate as per normal for our guide / instructor plus the cost of the helicopter. There are two main options available in the Val d’Isere area:
Option 1:
Ride down to the Lac de Chevril and take the helicopter back to the Tete de Solaise Price of the helicopter: 230 euro plus the cost of the guide / instructor.
Option 2:
Ride over the back of Le Fornet to a small resort called Bonneval sur Arc. Enjoy a bit of lunch and a quiet day in the resort before taking the helicopter back to the Tete de Solaise: 530 euro plus the cost of the guide / instructor.

Ski Touring Private Lessons

L’Espace Killy offers you some of the best day touring that any resort can offer. With a great lift system to get you up high before a ski and a walk or vica versa you have every option on your door step. Our fully qualified team, with years of experience and great knowledge of the terrain, will make your lesson a great experience. Lessons are always tailored to your needs and levels regardless of whether you have never seen a pair of “skins” before or if you have travelled the world in search of perfect spring snow.

EQUIPMENT
We will also provide you with the very best in off-piste safety equipment free of charge. We are the only ski school to provide such equipment free of charge. The lessons may encompass mountain etiquette, safety and awareness as well as technical input. Ski Touring Weeks

Join us for a ski touring week which gives a fun and relaxed way to ski with others of your own ability whilst finding great off-piste and spring conditions. With a maximum of six bookings per level we offer the smallest goup size that any school offers thus guaranteeing great progress and the best chance to find some great off piste. Avalanche awareness, off piste etiquette and snow pack conditions will also be looked at. Our “Introduction to Touring” week will include instruction and helpful tips into using touring equipment and touring techniques. A good level of experience and fitness is expected for the “Advanced” week.
